This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a 253-bed hospital that includes a 20-bed inpatient rehab unit. The hospital emphasizes collaborative care and is equipped with the latest mobility equipment to support patient recovery.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license
  • MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university
  • Acute care experience required
  • Meditech EMR experience preferred
  • ICU experience is a plus

Location: This role is based in a well-established hospital located near the beautiful coastal area of Punta Gorda, FL. Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute care patients
  • Manage caseloads typically comprising 9-10 patients per day to meet productivity standards

  • Utilize mobility equipment effectively to enhance patient outcomes
  • Adhere to unit guidelines and hospital policies to ensure quality and safety standards

Additional Information:

  • Work occurs across floors 1-4 in the main hospital building
  • The staff includes around 20 PT caregivers, fostering a supportive and experienced team environment
  • No night shifts; focus is on day shift hours
  • Parking is available on the third or fourth floor of the hospital's parking garage
