Provide essential support to physical therapists by assisting with patient care and rehabilitation activities in a contract position located in Seattle, WA. This role involves working closely with physical therapists to implement treatment plans for patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, helping them regain mobility and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities include helping patients with stretching and exercises targeting specific muscle groups, following instructions from physical therapists, and collaborating to modify care plans as needed. You will also assist patients in moving safely from wheelchairs or walkers to therapy areas, teach balance training techniques, and maintain a clean, organized therapy environment. Additionally, administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork are part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with stretching and targeted exercises
• Follow PT instructions and collaborate on patient care
• Support patient transfers to and from mobility aids
• Educate patients and families on at-home techniques
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas
• Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and documentation
