This opportunity is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitative care for patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role requires evidence-based clinical interventions, with a focus on supporting patient progress and delivering medically necessary treatment within established regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, ambulation training, and modalities as outlined in treatment plans. You will assess patient responses, document progress accurately in electronic medical records, and communicate effectively with the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary teams. You will also provide patient and caregiver counseling, contribute to discharge planning, and participate in clinical meetings and training activities. The ability to supervise PTA students and coordinate the procurement of durable medical equipment (DME) is also important. Strict adherence to professional ethics and state practice acts is required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, active licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing
  • Ability to perform and document skilled, therapeutic interventions as per APTA guidelines and state regulations
  • Experience in hospital-based or clinical rehabilitation settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare team members
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
  • Ability to supervise students under physical therapist supervision
