Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in both outpatient and acute care settings in Aulander, NC. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work predominantly in an outpatient environment while also supporting acute adult care patients with advanced skills in Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study (VFSS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and treatments to pediatric (70%) and adult (30%) patients in outpatient settings.
  • Manage acute care adult patients, with expertise in VFSS interpretation and intervention.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all patient interactions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call rotation every third weekend focusing on NPO (nil per os) orders from 8 AM to 12 PM.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, unrestricted North Carolina SLP license required.
  • Proven experience with pediatric and adult outpatient caseloads.
  • Proficiency in acute care swallowing disorders, specifically Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies.
  • Ability to adapt to a 40-hour work week, with occasional weekend on-call duties.
  • Comfortable working within an 80-mile radius from Aulander, NC, as candidates outside the local area will undergo screening prior to submittal.

Schedule & Contract Details:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Contract duration: 13 weeks.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours weekly, typically requiring the full 40 hours.
