Key Qualifications:

  • Active and current SLP license in the state of practice
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
  • Previous experience in an inpatient hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to evaluate and treat disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing
  • Familiarity with hospital-based therapy protocols and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills
  • Compassionate approach with strong organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions tailored to patient needs
  • Conduct ongoing therapy sessions, reassessments, and adjust treatment strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and family members to coordinate optimal patient care
  • Accurately maintain all therapy notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on communication and swallowing strategies
  • Participate in team meetings, care planning, and discharge recommendations
