Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in hospital-based therapy settings
- Strong communication and case documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Compassionate approach to patient care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
- Provide therapeutic interventions, monitor progress, and adjust care as needed
- Educate patients and their families about therapy processes, expectations, and at-home techniques
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in care team meetings to coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists
- Support discharge planning and provide recommendations for outpatient or continued care when appropriate
