Responsibilities include:
- Screening, evaluating, and developing individualized plans of care for patients with speech and swallowing impairments.
- Utilizing standardized assessments to guide clinical interventions and adjusting treatments based on patient progress.
- Documenting all required information accurately in electronic health records to comply with regulatory and clinical standards.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and treatment plans.
- Providing consultation, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Preparing comprehensive discharge summaries in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and required trainings.
- Supervising and supporting Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Ensuring adherence to professional ethical standards and state licensure requirements for Speech-Language Pathologists.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Active ASHA certification and valid state licensure.
- Proven experience in hospital-based speech-language pathology, including cognitive and swallowing disorders.
