Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, goal setting, and multidisciplinary teaming
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to provide therapy services to diverse student populations
- Background knowledge in sensory integration, fine/gross motor skills, and adaptive strategies
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs
- Deliver direct therapy services, both one-on-one and in group settings, addressing motor, sensory, self-help, and school-related skills
- Collaborate closely with special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress reporting and documentation
- Educate school staff and families about strategies and tools that can help students thrive in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district requirements
