Located in Bolivar, MO, this contract opportunity involves providing specialized physical therapy services within a school setting. The role requires skillful evaluation and rehabilitation of patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs, developing individualized plans of care that comply with all regulatory and clinical practice standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices.
  • Administering therapeutic procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, supportive device usage, and wound care.
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatments accordingly, documenting outcomes and modifying services based on effectiveness.
  • Providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members about patient progress, treatment barriers, and care plans.
  • Completing comprehensive discharge summaries and maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Recording treatment time precisely to meet all clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Participating in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, rehabilitation meetings, and ongoing training sessions.
  • Coordinating the acquisition of durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies as necessary.
  • Supervising and supporting physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.
  • Strictly adhering to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and state-required practice acts, ethical codes, and professional conduct standards.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with relevant clinical experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based rehabilitation techniques and regulatory documentation.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage caseload priorities and demonstrate clinical judgment consistent with best practices.
