A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-8 school located in Calais, ME. This role is a contract opportunity for the current school year, providing onsite, in-person support with no remote (VOCO) work. The position focuses on a K-8 caseload, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ communication skills within a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-8 students in compliance with individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to support student progress and implement individualized strategies
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Experience working with K-8 student populations
  • Knowledge of and cultural sensitivity toward native populations; candidates with Native American background or experience working closely with native communities are strongly encouraged to inquire
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage students and collaborate effectively with colleagues
