A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school setting in Gretna, VA, starting January 23, 2026. This contract role spans the school calendar year, providing a unique chance to support a pediatric caseload across two elementary schools. The caseload consists of approximately 50 students, with many receiving indirect services and some seen as infrequently as once a month, allowing for a diverse and manageable workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary-aged children.
  • Provide skilled therapy services focusing on pediatric speech and language needs within the school setting.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to optimize student communication outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with program guidelines.
  • Manage a caseload that balances direct and indirect service delivery across two school sites.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a valid license.
  • Experience working with school-age children in pediatric and educational settings.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and educational frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
