An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive therapy services within a K-12 educational setting in Oakland, CA. This contract role spans the current school year, starting as soon as possible and concluding on June 5, 2026. The position involves direct work with a diverse student population aged 5 to 21 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 55 students.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with educational and legal standards.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with families to support student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Successfully completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) as an SLP.
- Current certifications including CCC-SLP preferred.
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology within school and healthcare environments.
- Skilled in providing therapy in a face-to-face setting; teletherapy options are not available.
- Commitment to working full-time hours, approximately 37.5 hours per week during the school year.
This full-time role does not allow for the utilization of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA); only licensed SLPs will be considered. The position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on a school-age population through expert clinical services.
