A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide speech and language assessment and therapy services for elementary students (TK-6) during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract role supports the special education program by working closely with students, families, and school personnel to address communication needs and foster academic growth.

Location: Vallejo, CA
Assignment Duration: ASAP start through June 6, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, in-person
Setting: Elementary School environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, articulation, and auditory screenings and evaluations for students referred for special education services
  • Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and student progress monitoring
  • Provide consultative support and training to school staff on speech and language programs and interventions
  • Collaborate with families, school personnel, and health agencies to ensure coordinated care and maintain effective communication regarding student progress
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy to support students’ communication skills for academic and social success

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology
  • Commitment to serving students with special education needs and their families
  • Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and therapeutic techniques for a range of speech and language disorders
  • Knowledge of special education processes, disability categories, and early learning interventions
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with diverse teams
