A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the current school year in Concord, CA. This full-time, in-person role focuses on supporting elementary students within a school setting under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLPA assists with delivering individualized speech-language interventions to students with communication disorders and helps implement educational support tailored to student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering speech therapy programs designed by the supervising SLP.
  • Administer and score assessments and progress monitoring tools.
  • Collect case histories, complete observation checklists, and contribute to documentation such as evaluations and IEPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, therapists, and other professionals to provide information and support student progress.
  • Participate in meetings including IEP conferences and parent meetings.
  • Transport students as needed for testing or therapy sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the speech-language program.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders.
  • Experience working in a school environment preferred.
  • Training or experience in language and articulation therapy is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and implement new intervention strategies.

This contract role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, working directly with elementary-aged students in person.
