Apply NowA Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support elementary students through speech and language intervention services. This full-time, in-person role operates under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, assisting with individualized educational programs designed to improve students’ communication skills. The position is based in Sacramento, CA, and is contracted for the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language intervention plans developed by the supervising SLP
- Collect case histories, conduct observations, and assist with assessment scoring
- Support the SLP during student evaluations and collaborate with parents
- Administer progress monitoring under the direction of the SLP
- Participate in meetings such as IEP conferences and parent consultations to communicate student progress
- Prepare documentation including evaluations, IEPs, and progress reports
- Transport students between therapy and testing areas as needed
- Perform additional duties to support speech-language services
Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders
- Experience working in a school setting preferred, with training in language and/or articulation therapy
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and collaboration
- Positive attitude with the ability to learn and implement new strategies effectively
- Ability to work well with students, parents, and school personnel
Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time, in-person
Duration: Current school year contract
