Travel Cath Lab Nurse Opportunity in Passaic, NJ

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Cath Lab Nurse to join our team in Passaic, NJ for a travel opportunity. As a Cath Lab Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for procedures by performing thorough assessments and ensuring proper consent forms are completed
• Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs, EKG, and procedural sites
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Communicate effectively with the cardiac catheterization lab team, including the physician, technologists, and anesthesia personnel
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Provide patient education and support to promote proper recovery and continued cardiac health

Requirements:

• Active nursing license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
