School-based Speech-Language Pathologist

Calling on Clinical Fellows and ASHA-Certified Speech-Language Pathologists seeking an opportunity to live and work on the central coast of California! Soliant has partnered with a school district in San Luis Obispo, and is seeking a travel SLP for UPCOMING school year (2024-25)
 
How does one qualify as a traveler?

  • Will you be arranging temporary housing during the school year?
  • Will your temporary residence be more than 75 miles from your current place of residence?

If so, you qualify for housing and meals and incidentals stipends! This is a tax-free, weekly amount, intended to defer the cost of living while you live and work far away from home.
 
As a schools-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:

  • Evaluate new referrals on their communication abilities and determine student eligibility for speech services
  • Develop Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, and make recommendations for speech services
  • Re-evaluate students on a periodic basis, and updating IEP goals if needed
  • Conduct meetings and complete reports as part of the referral or dismissal process for speech students
  • Document services service logs, treatment notes, and track student progress with a mix of observations or testing data

We seek applicants with the following competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organization, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a manner consistent with department guidelines
  • Flexibility and the ability to foster a collegial work environment

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • SLP license from the California Board of Speech and Hearing
