Calling on Clinical Fellows and ASHA-Certified Speech-Language Pathologists seeking an opportunity to live and work in New Mexico! Soliant has partnered with a school district in the area of Farmington, NM, and is seeking a travel SLP for the upcoming school year.
 
How does one qualify as a traveler?

  • Will you be arranging temporary housing during the school year?
  • Will you be commuting 50+ miles to work?

If so, you qualify for housing and/or meals and incidentals stipends!
 
For schools-based Speech-Language Pathologists, duties include:

  • Providing speech and/or language therapy to students identified with communication disorders.
  • Maintaining accurate service records of students on caseload
  • Evaluating students with suspected communication disorders; making recommendations for speech and language services as needed
  • Providing comprehensive written report of observations, assessment results, and recommendations within the standards established by state guidelines
  • Developing speech and language goals in Individualized Education Programs
  • Developing integrated goals with other education staff for students with multiple or other disabilities.
  • Consulting with school staff and parents on the inclusion of materials to support speech and language development, or other areas of curriculum related to speech and language.
  • Participating in the Medicaid billing process for school-based services as directed.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organization, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a manner consistent with department guidelines
  • Flexibility and the ability to foster a collegial work environment

Requirements:

  • SLP license from the New Mexico Board of Speech-Language Pathology
  • SLP certificate from the Public Education Department
