Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who want to live and work in the Pacific Northwest! Soliant has partnered with a large, suburb school District in Kent, WA, and is seeking a travel SLP for an 18-week assignment to finish out the school year.

Requirements:

  • Washington SLP license
  • Education Staff Associate (ESA) credential issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction
  • Previous schools experience strongly desired

What is a travel assignment?

  • If you will be relocating or arranging temporary housing 75+ miles from your current home, you qualify for a tax free assignment allowance

Pay and Benefits:

  • Weekly pay of $2400 to $2800 per week (before taxes)
  • Health, vision and dental insurance
  • Relocation reimbursement to help your move to and from Kent, WA
  • Paid sick leave

As a school-based SLP, the applicant will:

  • Assess students for communication delays or speech impairments
  • Report on test results and make recommendations for appropriate goals and therapy plans 
  • Consult with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis; ensure accurate records in order to update progress reports
  • Participate in a evaluative and consultative processes to ensure children are getting appropriate support, including: Child Find, Speech Screenings, Response to Intervention, Record Review, Eligibility and Dismissal meetings
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Special Education and FERPA
