Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medications to patients and ensuring that they receive the correct dosage
• Preparing sterile medications and ensuring that they are properly labeled
• Checking medication orders for accuracy and completeness
• Providing drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare providers
• Monitoring patients' medication therapy to ensure safety and effectiveness
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

Requirements:

• Active California Pharmacist License in good standing
• Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• At least one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy
• Cerner and Omnicell cabinets
• Knowledge of drug therapy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Start date: ASAP
Duration: 13-weeks +, with option to extend
Schedule: Variable days/afternoons 
IT: Cerner, Omnicell
Comp: $80+/hr.
