Position: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 13 Weeks, Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Shifts: Variable Days/Evenings/Overnights; Rotating Weekends.
Pay Rate: $26 - $30/hr; Experience dependent

Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates a consistent capability to operate within the Sterile Product area, where they prepare cytotoxic and hazardous medications (e.g., chemotherapy) while employing correct aseptic techniques.
• Under the supervision of a pharmacist, accurately and expeditiously fulfill daily medication requests.
• Contribute to the proper management of returned medications, following recycling and disposal protocols.
• Take part in the prepackaging of frequently requested medications, including labeling and proper storage.
• Engage in the manual packaging of various materials and products.
• Ensure the precise and efficient preparation and distribution of prescribed medications.
• Conduct a thorough review of prescription details and promptly address any discrepancies or concerns.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and efficiently handle supply orders.
• Provide outstanding customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and offering guidance on medications.
• Foster effective teamwork and communication within the pharmacy team, promoting seamless collaboration

Qualifications

• PTCB Certification (preferred)
• 2+ years of IV sterile compounding experience (required)
• 2+years of current hospital/cancer center experience (required)
