Travel Operating Room Nurse - Camden, NJ

Travel Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Camden, NJ
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Days / Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday / 6:00am - 6:30pm
On Call: 2-3 weekday calls in a 4 week cycle
Required Experience: 2 years minimum

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team as a travel nurse for Salem, MA. The Operating Room Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that the operating room is safe, clean, and well-stocked.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care during surgical procedures
• Maintaining and managing the sterile field in the operating room
• Assisting the surgeon and surgical team during procedures
• Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the surgeon or anesthesiologist
• Monitoring the patient's vital signs and overall condition during surgery
• Ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order before, during, and after surgery
• Documenting patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
• Communicating with the patient, family members, and healthcare team members as appropriate
• Participating in the orientation and training of new staff members as needed
• Participating in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the Operating Room

Qualifications:

• Active nursing license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to different locations as needed
