Title: Travel Operating Room Nurse (OR RN)

Location: Portland, ME

Description:

Our client, a leading healthcare facility in Portland, ME, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) to join their team on a travel basis. The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care in the Operating Room and ensure patient safety during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties for various surgical procedures

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs before, during and after surgery

• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care

• Administer medications, IVs, and anesthesia as required

• Ensure that all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and maintained

• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide effective emergency care

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

Requirements:

• Active RN License

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Operating Room setting

• BLS and ACLS certification

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Willing to travel
