Job Posting: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Pittsburgh, PA

Our company is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time position will initially focus on the Extended School Year (ESY) and will lead into the New School Year (NSY). Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of visually impaired students
• Assess students' needs and progress, and modify instruction accordingly
• Utilize a variety of assistive technologies and adaptive materials to enhance learning experiences

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Pennsylvania
• Experience working with students who have visual impairments or blindness
• Knowledge of braille, assistive technology, and other specialized instructional techniques
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
