We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our school district in Maywood, IL, for the upcoming academic year. As a BCBA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and promoting positive behavior change within the school environment.

Start/End Date: September 18, 2023 - June 14, 2024

Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
  • Provide training and support to school staff, including teachers, aides, and administrators, in the implementation of behavior intervention strategies.
  • Collect and analyze data on student behavior to monitor progress and modify interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop individualized behavior support plans (BSPs) and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct regular observations and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of behavior interventions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Behavior Analyst License (BCBA).
  • Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and practices.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning and behavior needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of students, parents, and staff members.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
