Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students, including health assessments, medication administration, and first aid.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing necessary interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific health needs.
  • Conduct health screenings and immunization compliance checks.
  • Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, promoting preventive measures and healthy lifestyles.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Valid and current Registered Nurse license in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric health conditions, medication administration, and emergency protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
  • Compassionate and caring nature with a commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services.
