Soliant has partnered with a school near Woburn, MA that is interviewing School Psychologists to assist with a 12-week leave coverage assignment. 

The applicant will be working with Middle School students on a full-time basis. Assignment beings in October and is projected to end in January, with the possibility of extending to adjust to changing caseloads, and staffing changes within the department.

We seek motivated applicants with excellent clinical skills, and who are invested in attaining educational goals.

As a school psychologist, day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting individual psychological evaluations, interpreting findings and making recommendations for a meaningful educational experience for each child.
  2. Counseling and providing psychological remedial measures for students, individually or in groups.
  3. Educating parents and staff on psycho-educational interventions.
  4. Consulting with teachers and other school personnel in relation to behavior management and learning problems.
  5. Establishing efficient communications with directors, principals, teachers, parents, students, appropriate personnel, and community agencies to improve the quality of service.
  6. Determining student’s ability to learn and suggesting instructional strategies and techniques.
  7. Communicating information clearly and concisely in multidisciplinary conferences.
  8. Maintaining accurate and organized evaluation records.

To provide psychology services in Illinois schools, applicants must be licensed as a School Psychologist by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
