Clinical Pharmacist Education Requirements

A certified clinical pharmacist is one who is trained in pharmacology, chemistry and biology. They must have completed an undergraduate degree in a related field as well as having completed a Pharm.D. program. From there, the clinical pharmacist can choose to specialize in a certain area. A clinical pharmacist often chooses to specialize in patient diagnosis and patient care. After obtaining the required degrees and diplomas, the prospective clinical pharmacist must then pass the North American License Exam, which grants them a license to practice. They must also be licensed by their preferred state as well.
