Amador County Office of Education - Special Education Teacher Openings (Multiple Positions)

The Amador County Office of Education (ACOE) in Amador, California, is seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team! We have multiple openings to support students with diverse needs in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

About the Positions:

These are both full-time opportunities (required for NSY) that offer the chance to make a real impact in a dynamic school environment. We have openings for teachers specializing in:

• Moderate-Severe Needs (2 Positions): Provide specialized instruction and support to students with moderate-severe disabilities in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
• Mild-Moderate Needs (2 Positions): Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with mild-moderate disabilities in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

These positions are needed for both CSY (California State Summer School) and the upcoming Normal School Year (NSY).

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to create inclusive learning environments
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans that meet the individualized needs of students
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technology to support student learning
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices

Qualifications:

• California Teaching Credential with a Specialization in Special Education
• Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to data-driven decision making and student success
