Location: Elmhurst, IL
Orientation/Prep Days: May 29 & May 30, 2024, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Staffing Hours for ESY: 7:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Summer Program Dates:

• Start: Monday, June 3, 2024
• End: Thursday, June 27, 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and certified Bilingual Special Education Teacher to join our team for our Extended School Year (ESY) program in Elmhurst, IL. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse student population during the summer months.

General Duties:

• Provide direct special education services to students in a bilingual setting.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' needs and abilities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and success.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (Spanish preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus.
