Job Title: Special Education Teacher (K-2 Self Contained)

Start/End Dates: 2024-2025 School Year

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Caseload: 10 students (subject to change)

Certification/Licensure: SC Certification/Licensure required (please provide with application). Multi-Categorical Certification preferred.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will work in a K-2 self-contained classroom, providing educational support to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, social skills, and behavioral management.
• Collaborate with other members of the school team, including therapists, counselors, and administrators, to ensure the success of each student.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and progress towards IEP goals.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Qualifications:

• Valid SC Certification/Licensure (please provide with application).
• Multi-Categorical Certification preferred.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, intellectual disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of each student.
• Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
