Full-Time Special Education (SPED) Teacher ($40 hr)

Location: Widefield, CO

Position Type: Full-Time, 2024-2025 School Year

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will be based in Widefield, CO, serving students with diverse learning needs. As a SPED Teacher, you will work collaboratively with other educators and support staff to provide exceptional educational opportunities for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.
• Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skill areas.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the inclusion and success of students with disabilities in the general education setting.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to promote growth and achievement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student performance and progress towards IEP goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
