Job Title: Intervention Specialist (SPED)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist (SPED) to join our team for the 24/25 school year. As an Intervention Specialist, you will provide essential support to high school students primarily in math and reading classes. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, both individually and in small groups, to ensure they receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-classroom support for high school math and reading classes.
• Work with small groups and individual students to reinforce concepts and skills.
• Take progress notes and collect data to monitor student growth and performance.
• Develop specifically designed instruction based on students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to implement effective strategies and interventions.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions, assessments, and student progress.

Requirements:

• Ohio Department of Education (ODE) teaching certification.
• Intervention Specialist K-12 certification.
• Experience working with high school students, particularly those with special needs, preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
