Special Education (SPED) Contract Position Location: Detroit, MI
Job Description: Soliant, along with its affiliates, is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education professionals to join our team in providing essential services to students in the Detroit, MI area. As a SPED Contract Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the resources and assistance necessary for academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to address student needs and progress
- Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional strategies to promote student learning and development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement
- Minimum of one year of recent experience working in the field of Special Education
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing special education services
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
