We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for a local School District near Durham, North Carolina, for the school year. Job Details:

• Position: Special Education Teacher 
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Durham, North Carolina
• Hours: 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Experience in the following preferred:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education
• Must have active North Carolina Educator Credential: Exceptional Children (K-12) with SpEd endorsements    
• Previous experience in a SPED role is preferred
• Familiar with IEP's

Responsibilities:

• Elementary Caseload
• Teach, work with students, paraprofessionals, families, other staff, take data.
• Update IEP goals, assess students and write up the assessment report.
• Write IEPs, attend IEP meetings, present the assessment results.
