We are currently seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions within school districts in the Chicago, IL area. We are looking for dedicated professionals who meet all local and state requirements for the position. Please find detailed requirements listed below.

Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in various academic and functional areas.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the inclusion and success of students with disabilities in the general education setting.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for support at home.
