Soliant is currently seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Independence, MO for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to work with middle school students. 

Job Details:

• Position Type: Full-time, onsite
• Duration: 2024-25 school year
• Schedule: 9am-2pm, 3 days per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various subjects.
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education and Master's degree in Special Education required
• Valid Missouri state licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience with physical disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and learning disabilities preferred 
• Experience with various administrative duties in a school setting preferred
