Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring that goals and objectives are aligned with their unique needs and abilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in academic, social-emotional, and behavioral domains, utilizing evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to facilitate the inclusion and integration of students with disabilities into the general education setting.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to track student growth and adjust instruction as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and academic success for all students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in special education and instructional methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Oregon teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a K-12 school setting.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
