We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Orange, NJ for a part-time summer position. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with special needs.

About the Opportunity:

• Part-time schedule: 22.5 hours per week (July 1st - August 2nd, 2024)
• Work hours: 8:15 AM - 12:45 PM (Onsite)
• Opportunity to gain valuable experience working with a diverse student population in a supportive environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the individualized needs of students
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success
• Utilize data to monitor student progress and make data-driven instructional decisions
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity

Qualifications:

• Must have strong prior experience working in a school setting with students with special needs
• Active Special Education teacher license/certification in the state of New Jersey (required)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing a nurturing and positive learning environment for all students

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a Tuberculosis (TB) test
• Fingerprints for state and district background checks required
• Must pass a physical examination
