Job Description:

We are seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team on a full-time basis for the 24/25 school year in Federal Heights, CO. The Special Education Teachers will play crucial roles in providing specialized instruction and support to students with mild to moderate learning needs in middle school and high school settings. These positions offer opportunities to work in supportive and collaborative school environments, focusing on promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students' unique learning needs and goals.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in individual and group settings, focusing on improving academic skills, adaptive behaviors, and independence.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, accommodations, and support plans.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor students' progress, adjust instructional strategies, and ensure alignment with IEP goals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, IEPs, progress monitoring, and communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Active SPED license/certifications in the state of Colorado.
  • Experience working with students with mild to moderate learning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and instructional strategies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
