Special Education Teacher Teacher Opportunity - Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. This position is full-time and based within our school district in Bremerton, Washington. We are currently conducting open interviews for this school-based role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution
• Valid Special Education Teaching certification in the state of Washington
• Compliance with all local and state regulations for special education teachers
• Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction to students based on their individualized goals and objectives
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with various learning abilities and disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and other support staff to ensure students' needs are met
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Provide behavior management and support strategies for students with behavioral challenges
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for support
• Attend IEP meetings, team meetings, and other professional development activities as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, attendance, and services provided
