Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide differentiated instruction and support to students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional strategies to address academic, social, and behavioral goals.
• Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional plans as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education from the state of Connecticut.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience working as a Special Education Teacher.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning needs.
