Dosimetrist Duties

A dosimetrist plays a critical role in helping patients achieve the proper treatment and care that they need. Without the dosimetrist, a patient may receive an improper dosage or the wrong medications. Therefore, the primary duty of the dosimetrist is to make sure that the precise amount of radiation and medication is administered to cancer patients. On a daily basis, dosimetrists are required to administer and mix radioactive materials in order to safely create a medication and treatment process to help patients recover from cancer. Dosimetrist Education Requirements
