Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistive Technology Specialist or related background in assistive technology services
  • Strong understanding of various assistive technology devices, software, and applications used in educational settings
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and best practices regarding accessibility and special education
  • Experience supporting individualized education program (IEP) processes and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams

What You’ll Do:

  • Assess student needs in the LEEP Program and recommend appropriate assistive technology solutions
  • Collaborate with school personnel and families, including coordination efforts such as “looping in” key team members like Logan Rausch and Syd Logan (PSG)
  • Conduct training sessions for staff and students on integrating assistive tech devices and apps into daily instruction
  • Create detailed reports and contribute to IEP meetings to share outcomes and progress
  • Stay up-to-date on new developments in assistive technology to enhance program effectiveness
