You’ll provide essential 1:1 support as an Assistive Technology Specialist, collaborating closely with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and students across all grade levels—from Kindergarten through high school. This year-round opportunity, with scheduled breaks over major holidays, allows you to develop meaningful educational connections and build valuable experience in a vibrant school setting near Hemet, CA.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as an Assistive Technology Specialist or related field required
  • Experience working 1:1 with students, ideally in K-12 educational settings
  • Proficiency in transcribing braille and supporting braille literacy
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with TVI and special education teams
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning levels and student needs
  • Compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable about assistive technologies for vision support
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to students with visual impairments
  • Transcribe instructional materials and assignments into braille for students and TVI
  • Support students in using assistive technologies, including braille devices and accessibility software
  • Adapt classroom resources and learning tools to maximize accessibility
  • Collaborate with educational staff to ensure goals are achieved
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and braille materials
