Grades 9 - 12 Licensed AT Specialist Therapist | Murrieta, California

Step into an impactful role as an Assistive Technology Specialist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade on a full-time, full-year contract basis. In this position, you’ll work one-on-one with students and alongside Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to ensure that educational materials are accessible and engaging. With an emphasis on transcribing braille and integrating assistive technology, you will be at the forefront of promoting inclusive learning environments.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as an Assistive Technology Specialist or equivalent certification
• Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Strong skills in braille transcription and familiarity with tools used in assistive technology
• Previous experience in a 1:1 educational support role is highly preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff in adapting materials for students with visual impairments
• Commitment to maintaining a positive, student-centered approach

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, individualized assistive technology support to students across a diverse grade range
• Transcribe learning materials into braille for both Teachers of the Visually Impaired and students
• Facilitate the use and integration of assistive technology tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Communicate with educational teams to implement customized strategies for accessibility
• Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed to maximize learning outcomes
• Maintain documentation in compliance with educational requirements
