Apply NowThis full-time, year-round position offers a unique opportunity to work as an Assistive Technology Specialist supporting students across all grade levels, from K-5 through grades 6-8 and 9-12. The role is based in Riverside, CA, within a school setting and offers a contract with breaks only over major holidays, providing consistency throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities include providing specialized assistance with assistive technologies tailored to individual student needs, supporting both teachers and students. A key part of the role involves transcribing braille materials for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and students, ensuring that all learners have access to accessible educational resources. This 1:1 support role requires close collaboration with educators and other support staff to facilitate effective technology integration and accessibility.
Ideal candidates will be licensed professionals with experience working as Assistive Technology Specialists in K-12 settings. A strong understanding of assistive technology tools and strategies across different grade levels is essential. Experience transcribing braille or working closely with TVI students is highly valued.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid professional licensure related to assistive technology or special education
- Demonstrated experience in supporting students across multiple grade levels (K-5, 6-8, 9-12)
