Grades 6 - 8 Licensed Assistive Technology Therapist Specialist in Riverside, CA

What we’re looking for:

• Current valid licensure as an Assistive Technology Specialist
• Experience supporting students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Demonstrated proficiency in braille transcription and assistive technology use
• Comfortable providing individualized (1:1) support to students with visual impairments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and accessible learning environments
• Ability to collaborate with TVIs, educators, and school support staff

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on, 1:1 assistive technology support for students with visual impairments
• Transcribe educational materials into braille for both TVI and student use
• Train students and staff on effective use of assistive devices and adaptive tools
• Collaborate with educators to integrate accessible materials into classroom instruction
• Maintain and troubleshoot assistive equipment, ensuring timely updates and repairs
• Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed
