You'll collaborate with educators and students to implement assistive technology solutions and provide direct support in academic settings. A key part of your role will involve transcribing braille for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and students, ensuring seamless communication and learning opportunities for individuals with visual impairments.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current licensure relevant to assistive technology or educational support.
- Experience working with students K-12, including Grades K - 5, 6 - 8, and 9 - 12.
- Skilled in 1:1 student support, adapting technology to individual learning needs.
- Proficiency in braille transcription for educational materials.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with TVIs, other educators, and support staff.
- Ability to troubleshoot, implement, and train others on assistive technology devices and software.
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized assistive technology support for students across multiple grade levels.
- Transcribe educational content into braille for TVIs and students.
- Regularly assess and implement appropriate technology solutions.

- Offer technical assistance and training on assistive devices and applications.
