Schedule:
- Full-time hours: 32.5 hours per week
- Coverage from September through mid-November, with the possibility to extend through the full academic year
Qualifications:
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
- Previous experience supporting children or individuals with high-level medical needs is highly valued
- Comfort working with young learners in a school setting
- Ability to provide attentive, empathetic, and detail-oriented care
- Excellent communication skills to support collaboration with educators, medical professionals, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated 1:1 care for a kindergarten student using a wheelchair
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and ongoing medical support as required
- Monitor the student’s status and communicate any changes to the school nurse and healthcare team
- Ensure the student’s safety and well-being throughout the school day
- Foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment
