Travel Nursing Assistant | Ithaca, New York

Schedule:

• 4x10-hour shifts, Days (1 position: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

In this travel role, you'll focus on Prep and Recovery, supporting an efficient team with existing Surgical Services PCA openings. Your work will directly contribute to patient care by assisting with pre-surgery preparations and post-operative recovery, ensuring excellent support from arrival to discharge or inpatient transition. Collaborate closely with experienced nurses and healthcare professionals, sharpening your clinical skills and broadening your experience with new leadership and patient care approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nursing staff in preparing patients for surgery
• Support recovery efforts by helping patients get settled and comfortable post-operation
• Safely transport patients to discharge locations or inpatient floors as necessary
• Monitor patients to provide for their comfort, safety, and needs throughout the pre- and post-operative phases

Desired Qualifications:

• Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license
• Prior experience as a CNA in a hospital or surgical setting preferred
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull equipment/patients frequently
• Comfortable working in a sterile surgical environment
